TORONTO NATIONALS
It’s fair to say that the Nationals have a chance of winning any game if Colin Munro is batting in form. The Kiwi cricketer is playing lights-out for the Nationals and is the current league leader in runs scored with 212. He’s been incredibly consistent, too, with a solid batting average of 70.66. After Munro, however, things are less exciting with the bat, as Kirton is the next-best with 84 total runs.
Smit has been a bit of a disappointment with only 35 total runs, as we expected big things from him. What’s more, the Nationals badly need the batting services of Sikandar Raza, who is nearly finishing his contract in the Zim Afro T10 League.
When it comes to the bowling, the team is still waiting for star player Fazalhaq Farooqi to really get going (currently with 3/86), but there have been some surprise performances from Zaman Khan (7/96) and Saad Bin Zafar (5/71) to help keep the Nationals in playoff contention.
MONTREAL TIGERS
The Tigers had an excellent start to the season with three straight wins, although they had their first loss to the Wolves in their last match.
We expected to see solid batting from Shakib Al Hasan (102 runs) and Lynn (95), but the biggest shock is the fantastic scoring from Rutherford, who has 126 so far. Most of that total came from a big 84* effort against the Knights, but it’s good to see someone else stepping up.
The bowling has largely been shouldered by West Indies’ all-rounder, Braithwaite, who is second in the league with his excellent 8/97, most of which came from his great 4/21 effort. The team is full of talented all-rounders, including Shakib Al Hasan, who has shined with 5/112, but his ER of 7.00 is far too high.
TON VS MOT TOSS PREDICTION
Any captain who wins the toss may choose to bowl first and utilise his spinners to make the most of the surface, as the side chasing the total has won 19/26 games in the past. Here, scores of approximately 175 are typical.
PITCH AND CONDITIONS
In the past, this surface has been excellent for batters, and it frequently results in games with substantial scoring. The bounce is pretty level, although spinners have historically excelled while pacers sometimes find it difficult to generate considerable swing. The boundaries are a little bit shorter than other fields, and the outfield is fairly rapid.
TON VS MOT BETTING TIPS
The Nationals have beaten the Tigers three times in a row, but the last time was in 2019, so the data is somewhat hard to go by. The form of Munro and Khan is intriguing for the Nationals, but we have to trust the Tigers because of their well-balanced squad.
The incredible batting trio of Lynn, Rutherford, and Shakib Al Hasan is really top-notch, as each one has the ability to take over the game. Plus, Shakib Al Hasan is lethal with the ball and the team is getting stunning performances from Braithwaite.
The 10Cric odds are decent for the Tigers, but we feel like it’s a safer bet.
